Our Mission
The Friends of the Tyrone Museum will strive to acquire, document, protect, preserve and exhibit the physical, cultural and historical artifacts which reflect the story of Tyrone, GA. The Friends of the Tyrone Museum will research, exhibit, promote and publicize the historical and cultural heritage of the town for the benefit of residents and visitors.
Our Vision
The Tyrone Museum will be a historical centerpiece of our town and will be an educational and entertaining destination. The Museum will be a resource for Tyrone residents, tourist, historians, and history buffs. The Friends of the Tyrone Museum will preserve, organize, and catalog important objects & documents and will use those items to provide education for the public.
